A general purpose gleaning and polishing product developed in Germany. The Permanon family of surface protection products takes an innovative approach and has very wide application for everything from aircraft, cars and boats to simple household uses.

The core idea is that the nano-engineered coatings work without any chemical reaction with the surface being treated for protection, instead relying on connecting electro-statically with any non-porous surface to create a protective barrier for dirt, UV, mould, lime-scale, water, most acids and alkalines and even bacteria. The active ingredient is described as ‘monomolecular silicium’, or pure Si14, the elemental basis for silicates which are among the Earth’s most common substances (think sand).

In everyday home applications, everything from tiles to silverware, stainless steel and glass to appliances, using Permanon Supershine aims to reduce cleaning effort by half, saving on use of environmentally-harmful cleaning products, and is billed as 96% bio-degradable. Less cleaning can translate into longer life for household items and materials, saving non-renewable resources as well as cutting use of chemical-based cleaning agents.

Permanon Supershine products have formally listed Safety Data Sheets under REACH, the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). REACH deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances, and entered into force on 1 June 2007. The Safety Data Sheets show Permanon Supershine as being safe-to-use following standard guidelines, non water-endangering and without toxicity.
